5 Squarespace features you will love.

This website is built on the Squarespace publishing platform. If you are trying to make a decision to start up your own blog, take a free trial of Squarespace. Last year I wrote 10 reasons why Squarespace is better than blogger/Wordpress where i tried to compare the three platforms. However,  back then i didn't and i still don't know too much about Wordpress. I am a becoming a bit of a expert on Squarespace though. Here are some Squarespace features you probably wont find so easy to implement on another publishing platform.

    1. Podcasting Support - You can easily add a podcast to any entry, straight from the user interface. Readers can download your podcast or subscribe to your podcast feed. I haven't used that feature yet on my blog but its nice to know its there.
    2. Smart log Analysis - The Squarespace platform offers the most comprehensive site visitor traffic analysis available. Gives you all the info. like Where are my visitors from?  what are they reading? how did they get here? how long did they stay. All this is built into your website. You don't need to install any code or download any software.
    3. Multiple Editors - Squarespace allows you room for expansion. Imagine the day when you have 3 people writing for your blog, in 3 different countries. Squarespace allows you to give multiple editors different access to different parts of your site. Making it easy to allow even visitors to publish content to your site without any security issues.
    4. Integrated full website search. - Google also does this very well. However, Google can't beat Squarespace at their own game. The Squarespace search module is built into the structure and design of your website and it indexes everything ever published on your site effortlessly.
    5. Dynamic layouts - The presentation of your site is independent of its content, allowing you to switch the style of your site without having to worry about your site "breaking". In other words you can change your site design on  the fly without having to adjust the content to fit your new style.

Power and Simplicity is the Squarespace calling card. Squarespace probably has far more features than you'd ever use. That's okay though, because that means you've got room to grow into your website, as opposed to being limited by a one-dimensional tool.- Squarespace
