Digg this or not Jesus is the reason for the season Amen.

I Have been thinking about what to write as my last Post before Christmas. I could have come up with some fantastic gift list or some great story about who is outselling who this Christmas  but I thought, no Its time people know who I really am. I am a Christian through and through. And this is my tribute to Christ this season.

For a moment lets pause and think about what Christmas is really about. I Really Wanna Wii, Please

Its not about Snowmen or  old men with white beards and frocks, neither is it about Mistletoe or snow. Christmas is not about Nintendo Wii (although I think it's brilliant),  its not about the iPhone (if Jesus was around he would probably be using a Nokia).

I wish I could tell you how many of these gadgets will be sold world wide but I just don't have the Data. However I know this they will definitely outsell bibles. And attendance at shopping centres will be much better than church attendance. 70% of people who celebrate Christmas in the UK, are not even Practicing Christians. Children Know more about Santa and his Reindeers than they know about Jesus and his disciples.

Can you blame them? The church has lost its way, its been swallowed up by scandal and political correctness, today Christian Nations like the United states and Britain are debating wether to allow children to sing Christmas carols in school, for fear of offending other religions. Not surprising at all. After all, you could walk into some churches in England this Christmas and not hear a word about Jesus or his salvation.

I hate to compare but all this commercialism surrounding Christian celebrations is making me sick. Do you ever hear Muslims making a commercial fuss about their religious festivals? no. It's a time of Fasting and quite contemplation. Maybe we can learn something from them.

As Christians we should be angry when people take Christ out of Christmas, we should be upset when there are no Christmas cards with any religious symbolism to be found in our shops. We should be offended when Jesus Christ is replaced with Santa Clause.Remember how angry the Muslims were when Mohamed was drawn in that cartoon? We should be sad when the only place of worship we know is the football stadium. The Only prophets we know are Movie stars and football stars. The only role models are children have today are the Paris Hiltons and the Kate Moss's.

If you are Christian blogger Help spread the true message of Christmas this season. Tell people about the Birth of our saviour, spread the love of Christ not by excessive drinking and Debauchery, but by giving to those in need and loving those around you.

May God bless you this Christmas as you Help spread this message. As I said in the beginning, Digg this or not, Jesus is the reason for the season. Amen.
